What significance does AI have at P7S1 and what goals are we pursuing with it? 

Artificial intelligence is not new territory at P7S1 and already plays a central role. We are striving to seamlessly integrate both traditional AI and generative AI into our corporate processes in order to increase efficiency and drive innovation. Our goals are clear: we want to use the potential of AI to optimize our workflows and provide the best possible support for our creative processes.

 

Which AI tools do we already use and how have they changed the way we work? 

We have already successfully integrated various AI solutions into our day-to-day operations. We rely on the combined use of our own developments and AI tools available on the market. AI is used, for example, in the automated enrichment of metadata for our content, in linear program planning, in many of our targeting products and, of course, in the day-to-day work of our employees. With our P7S1 GenAI Playground, we have created a real alternative to publicly accessible tools such as ChatGPT. Here, the possibilities of AI can be tried out in a secure environment. Our way of working has already changed in many areas so that time-consuming and manual tasks can be handed over to the AI. At the same time, generative AI can provide us with valuable inspiration in creative processes, such as for new masks in our show "The Masked Singer".

 

What exactly is the P7S1 GenAI Playground?

The P7S1 GenAI Playground is a secure internal solution for accessing various large language models. Employees do not have to worry about the security of their input data, its use for model training or its disclosure. The Playground is already being used intensively by our employees and now has over 1,500 users. Most recently, a function for creating text-to-images was integrated and a wizard function was introduced. These wizards can be used to map specific use cases. For example, "Teaser Text Tim" helps our colleagues to create teaser texts for our content.

 

How do we empower our employees to integrate AI into their day-to-day work? 

AI is becoming increasingly relevant - for this reason, it is important for us to actively encourage our employees to experiment with AI while supporting them with targeted measures. These include the P7S1 GenAI Playground, AI training for different skill levels and AI communities for knowledge sharing. In addition, our P7S1 Ambassador Circle promotes exchange between AI pioneers in the company. The Ambassador Circle brings together representatives from all areas to share best practices in the use of AI and jointly generate ideas for new use cases. 

 

How do we stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in AI? 

We rely on the continuous training of each individual and a lively exchange within our AI communities. We also use our P7S1 Ambassador Circle to share innovations and learn from the experiences of our colleagues. We also keep a close eye on market developments and enter into strategic collaborations, including research projects with universities. In this way, we ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of technology in the future.

 

Where do you see the greatest potential for using AI in media companies? 

We see the greatest potential in the ability of AI to expand creativity and revolutionize the production of content. Generative AI makes it possible to create high-quality content and personalize it. It also enables the globalization and localization of content. We also expect greater viewer engagement through hyper-personalized content and interactions. For example, our users could be shown personalized previews of our content.
