…which we are very excited about! This also fits perfectly with our objectives. We started offering corporate fitness programs several years ago. With our new partnership with EGYM Wellpass, we have a new and attractive flagship in our portfolio – we can already see this in the initial registration numbers and the very positive feedback from our colleagues.
What makes the Wellpass membership particularly attractive to our employees in your opinion?
The flexibility I already mentioned is definitely key – both in terms of location and the variety of options. As an employee, I can visit a gym or swimming pool in Munich after work, just as easily as I can do outdoor fitness in Hamburg, or participate in an online yoga class from anywhere when I'm on a business trip. Furthermore, we subsidize the offer as an employer, making it very attractive even for occasional users.
Can you tell us if you are a Wellpass member yourself and what you're particularly looking forward to?
Of course, and I'm really looking forward to getting started. I haven't been doing much sport lately, unfortunately. So, I'm a good example of how such an employer-sponsored offer can encourage activity among the employees – with all the resulting positive effects on health and work-life balance. I'm planning to try some new things, like the climbing gym around the corner or a visit to a paddle court. And maybe I'll treat myself to a massage from time to time for a small extra charge. (laughs)"
In your opinion, what role do benefits play in employee satisfaction?
Strategically well-planned benefits that are aligned with the needs of the employees can have a significant positive impact. They contribute to feeling valued and supported. A good and well-balanced benefits package is therefore an important building block for our employee satisfaction and strengthens our attractiveness as an employer.
