Colorful, loud, PROUD - that was the Christopher Street Day 2024

Under the motto "United in Diversity - Together for Freedom and Democracy," last Saturday the Christopher Street Day took place in Munich, and of course, we were part of it for the third time in a row. Read more about the day here.

The Christopher Street Day (CSD) is an annual event celebrated worldwide to support the LGBT+ community, advocate for equality, and stand against discrimination. That's why it was important for our company to participate in the political parade this year as well.

The participation was organized by the core team of our in-house network PROUD, which supports the concerns of the LGBT+ community within the company and through which all interested colleagues could register for the marching group.

Together with allies and queer colleagues, we decorated four colorful hand carts, packed goodies and refreshing drinks. Our mission was to make a statement of solidarity and support and represent values such as diversity, acceptance, and equality.

Under the radiant sunshine, we marched together with thousands of other people on trucks, pickups, and other marching groups from Nockherberg through the Glockenbachviertel, Stachus, all the way to the Karolinenplatz. The atmosphere was peaceful and joyful, and with our giveaways, we were able to bring smiles to the faces of parade spectators along the streets.

Allianz Para Trophy: our colleague Sophie was live at the tennis tournament!

Spectacular rallies and great emotions for the spectators and players at the Allianz Para Trophy tennis tournament, which was part of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, Open Division Men, in the ITF 1 Series category. Last Saturday, the semi-finals and final took place at the BMW Open in Munich. Our colleague Sophie, Associate Legal Counsel, won tickets in our prize draw and attended the event. In this interview, she tells us what she experienced.
