The UHLALA Group conducts a comprehensive examination of a company's measures regarding the diversity dimensions of "sexual orientation and gender identity," considering the areas of organizational structure, human resources, communication & visibility, as well as legal frameworks & regulations. In the following section, you can learn more about our respective results.
Organizational Structure
Here, we were able to score particularly high points in the area of DEI Management. A key factor was that the diversity dimensions are an integral part of our annual business report and that we pursue a dedicated LGBT+ strategy with defined goals. Our employee network was also positively highlighted. Under the name "PROUD," our employee initiative engages in various projects (e.g., "Queer in Job Interviews" or networking with other corporate networks) to foster an inclusive corporate culture. The special feature: the PROUD core team can plan and implement projects during working hours. Regular exchanges between the PROUD team and our D&I department ensure that impulses, suggestions, and results from the employee network are integrated into our D&I strategy.
Human Resources
In this category, we particularly excelled with respect to our recruiting and contract design. This includes, for example, competency-based recruiting, which ensures a fair process where all candidates are evaluated based on the same criteria. Additionally, the mandatory completion of an online training course on anti-discrimination for all employees was positively assessed. At the same time, we were able to impress again this year in the area of "Health, Safety & Support." For instance, we offer all employees our Mental Health Days, which send a clear signal, create openness and awareness around the topic of mental health, and contribute to destigmatization.
Communication & Visibility
In this category, we achieved full points. This includes both internal and external communication as well as events and advocacy. Among other things, this encompasses our "Queer in Job" interviews, where we make our personnel diversity visible, participation in Pride events, a dedicated landing page within our career site, and communication through our social media channels. The use of inclusive language and the ongoing publication of a statement on diversity and inclusion from our SVP of Diversity & Inclusion also fall into this category.
Legal Framework & Regulations
To ensure that every employee feels comfortable and safe with us, we continuously work to create a working environment that is free from prejudice and treats everyone with the same respect. We respect one another, treat each other fairly, and do not tolerate discrimination. We have documented this in our Code of Conduct and are have also signed the Charta of Diversity. Should any cases of discrimination or harassment occur, we have established a point of contact where individuals can report issues—anonymously if desired.
We are proud to once again be a true Diversity Champion, further reinforcing our commitment to diversity and inclusion among our employees.
