Frederik Fichtner's success story at P7S1 started over 20 years ago: Frederik actually wanted to study after school, but then heard about the newly launched knowledge programme Galileo and applied there as an intern. After his internship, he extended as a hospitant and eventually worked as a planning editor. After two turbulent and instructive years, he fulfilled his dream of studying abroad while continuing to work as a freelance TV producer on the side. Even as an external employee, he remained loyal to Galileo until he was drawn back to the main editorial office after a year in Canada: "In fact, I can say that I have done almost every job at Galileo: From intern, tele-prompter operator, performer, editor, reporter, developer and CvD to representative editorial director."
Today, Frederik heads the development department at Galileo and is primarily concerned with constantly reinventing the format and always surprising and entertaining the viewer. "It excites me to do pioneering work in many fields, such as many interactive projects where we break completely new ground."
